Government Resignation Amid Public Anger

The Lebanese government has resigned amid growing public anger following the explosion. Prime Minister Hassan Diab has said that the government is "unable to meet the aspirations of the Lebanese people" and has called for early elections. The resignation comes after days of protests and demonstrations, with protesters demanding accountability for the explosion.

Investigation Underway

An investigation has been launched into the explosion, which is believed to have been caused by a large cache of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse at the port. The Lebanese army has arrested nine people in connection with the blast, and President Michel Aoun has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
