Couple last seen leaving a residence on Jan. 12 near Lucknow

HURON-KINLOSS, ON – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing couple from Huron-Kinloss Township.

Gary and Janet Smith

• Gary Smith, 77
• Janet Smith, 76

The couple was last seen on January 12, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m. leaving a residence on Concession 8 in Huron-Kinloss Township, near Lucknow.

Police say Gary Smith is described as approximately 5’8″ tall with a medium build and short white hair. He was last seen wearing a black tuque, a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

Janet Smith is described as approximately 5’4″ tall with a slim build and short white hair. She was last seen wearing a black winter coat, a black tuque, black pants, and black boots.

The couple is believed to be travelling in a 2018 burgundy Buick Encore with Ontario license plate BXTB 381.

Police are concerned for the well-being of the couple and are asking anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the Huron County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
